"Can You Hear Me OK?"

2020 ushered in a tectonic wave of changes. "Can You Hear Me OK?" is an immersive experience for mental wellbeing, born out of a dire need to reconnect. The exhibition explores the impact of COVID-19 on various facets of our mental health and aims to shed light on the significant trends and patterns that took place during this pandemic.
Curated by three creators, Ramy Elnagar, Maryam Aboukhater and Francisco Teixeira, and co-produced by BOA, the immersive experience features newly commissioned and debut works by a variety of audiovisual, performative and biohacking artists.
Neurofeedback, virtual reality, light therapy, and aromacology are the elements that invite attendees to open up their minds, put aside their preconceptions of 'black mirrored technologies', and consider more sensory and immersive approaches.
Part of the proceedings was donated to APAV, the Portuguese Association for Victim Support.
